CD Mastering

CD mastering is the stage of the audio production process used to enhance audio and prepare the final pre-master used for replication and distribution. It is the last stage where decisions about the audio quality and presentation are made, and is therefore of critical importance to your final product.

The mastering process includes the following:

  • Overall equalization for clarity and consistency
  • Making volume levels appropriate to maintain consistency across the album
  • Editing of content
  • Provide proper spacing and fades
  • Noise removal
  • Sequencing of the songs or audio material
  • Creating any materials needed for replication (e.g. PQ lists, final pre-master, etc.)
  • Helps to ensure that the audio will "translate" well between different playback systems
  • Provides an informed and experienced objective "ear" to the mixing process

We provide both attended and non-attended online "sessions". In both cases you are completely part of our process, providing essential feedback to help ensure the success of the project.

Enhanced CD

An Enhanced CD is one of the best ways for artists to present themselves to record labels and fans.

Artists can provide high quality video of live concerts, photos, lyrics, and even links to your web site. It may also be used to direct fans to merchandise that are being offered such as T-shirts, CDs, tickets as well as concert announcements.

An enhanced CD combines a multimedia experience with your audio CD. When played in a compact disc player, audio tracks go unaffected by the other data on the CD. However when played on a computer CD-ROM the audio experience is "enhanced", providing all other facets essential in gaining a complete understanding of the artists’ music.
